This month’s idea to help you find inspiration, get creative, break out of a creative slump or to stop procrastinating.
Look at old photos on your phone, tablet or laptop – You may have some really old photos that you can pull out. But I’m thinking about all those photos we take on holiday or days out that we think ‘This would make a great drawing/painting.’ But we never get round to using them. Pull them up on your device and open your sketchbook and create some small sketches or thumbnails from them. You will probably find there are one or two that are really interesting and you can develop further. If not don’t worry, you’ve practiced your sketching skills at least! You have also created a sketchbook of ideas that you can refer back to or use to start a future project.
