About Me

Artist | Printmaker | Tutor

I’m a professional artist and qualified art tutor with over 20 years’ teaching experience. I recently relocated from West Sussex to West Somerset, where I continue to develop my creative practice and offer both private and group tuition.

I studied Art & Design at Stourbridge Art College before earning a BA (Hons) in Art with Related Arts from Chichester University. My practice spans many disciplines, but I have a particular passion for drawing, mixed media, and printmaking—especially intaglio and relief processes.

The joy of exploring materials and creative mark-making drives my work.

Teaching & Accessibility

I hold professional teaching qualifications allowing me to teach across all age groups. I'm also a qualified Arts Award assessor  and have extensive experience teaching:

  • Adults through local education services and private tuition (20+ years)

  • Children and young people, including home-educated students

  • Adults with learning difficulties (15+ years)

  • Online and in-person learning

  • Students with additional needs, including those who are Deaf or hard of hearing

I regularly adapt sessions to suit the individual learning needs and communication styles of my students.

My Artistic Practice

Now based in West Somerset, I take inspiration from the coast and countryside, using walking, sketching and immersive observation to influence my work.

My prints and drawings often explore wildlife, natural forms and textures—translating expressive mark-making into layered compositions.

My work has been exhibited across the UK and internationally.
