The 20:20 print exchange (via Hot Bed Press) was established in 2009, to exchange work from various printmakers in one studio. Studios all over the UK (and the rest of the world) now recruit multiples of 10 printmakers to take part. Each printmaker produces an edition of 25 prints, 20x20cm in any print medium. Each printmaker’s edition is distributed between the 10 ‘Home’ studio participants and 10 others studio printmakers. 4 prints go the studios and the last 1 goes on tour
As you may know I have been running Life Drawing workshops in West Worthing. This originally came about after students on a couple of my Drawing and Painting courses had wanted to try life drawing in class. The weekend started with a demo and explanation of how to make our collagraph plates. Then came sketching, designing and plate making. This took all of Saturday, so we left Hester to varnish our plates ready for Sunday morning. Arriving Sunday morning we found all our plates had been varnished. Meet the Artist talk and Demo at Littlehampton Museum. What a great day! I had so much fun. As some of you may have seen from my social media, I spent Thursday collecting and identifying seaweed ready for Saturday. Saturday arrived and I set everything up for the first session of seaweed pressing demonstrations.
