The weekend started with a demo and explanation of how to make our collagraph plates. Then came sketching, designing and plate making.
This took all of Saturday, so we left Hester to varnish our plates ready for Sunday morning.
Arriving Sunday morning we found all our plates had been varnished.
Hester gave us a detailed explanation of how to ink up our plates and wipe and ‘burnish’ them ready for printing.
As I had 2 plates I printed each one, then set about making changes (after a second demo’ on how to ink with more than one colour) to my inking of the plates.
