Lino printing intermediate techniques (1-4pm); printing with a rainbow roll, how to make a jigsaw block print and how to make a multi-block print. This course is suitable for those students who have started basic lino printing and want to develop their skills and find out about further techniques. (Intermediate £22)

Materials required:

To participate in this course at home you will need to purchase lino printing equipment. As a guide you should expect to pay £15 - 30 for a beginners kit. Below are some suggestions.

Lino printing beginners equipment:

I suggest you purchase one of the below Lino printing sets:

Amazon Essdee taster kit: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Essdee-Linocut-Taster-Kit/dp/B07RPMGT2R/ref=psdc_3063802031_t3_B00EOP63P8 with this set you will also need a smooth surface to roll your ink on. I suggest a piece of plastic, a smooth tray or tin foil covering a piece of cardboard. Plus a wooden spoon

Essdee lino printing kit:

Amazon- https://www.amazon.co.uk/Essdee-Lino-Cutting-Printing-Pieces/dp/B00EOP63P8

Handprinted - https://handprinted.co.uk/collections/relief-printmaking-kits/products/lino-cutting-and-printing-kit

Or choose a stamp making kit - https://handprinted.co.uk/collections/relief-printmaking-kits/products/block-printing-kit-for-fabric-and-paper

You will also need some printer/photocopier paper to print on to.

A simple image or design to fit one of your lino blocks.

Lino printing intermediate equipment:

You will most likely have the above equipment.

For the session you will need A6 – A5 lino block (of your choice) 1 block is required for jigsaw printing. 2 blocks are needed for multi-block printing. Carbon or tracing paper. You will also need at least 2 different coloured inks.

Scissors or craft knife.

I am happy to advise you further on equipment required.
